"Healthcare systems are designed, or they are improvised. I design them."

For the last ten years, I have commissioned premium healthcare environments: VIP hospital wings, luxury hospitals, boutique hospitals and ultra-premium longevity clinics. Commissioning is the stage where a facility stops being a design and becomes a place that treats patients. The team is recruited and trained, the SOPs are written, the regulatory approval is navigated, the patient journey is designed, and the doors open. It is the core of my work, and it sits behind every engagement at The Clinic Standard.
Commissioning
Not consulted on a commissioning. Commissioned.
I have commissioned hospitals from zero. I recruited the clinical team, wrote the SOPs, navigated the regulatory approval, designed the patient journey, fitted out the treatment spaces and opened the doors.
The same discipline applies whether the brief is a VIP wing inside a hospital, a boutique hospital or a longevity clinic. Every space, role, policy and handover has to work on the first day a patient arrives, not in the months after.
I know what breaks at the beginning, because I have fixed it in real time, under pressure.
The background
What I know, and how I know it.
I am a physician, so I understand what happens in a treatment room at a granular level. I hold an MBA, so I see a clinic as a business as well as a practice, and I understand the commercial decisions that sit behind every clinical one. My quality credentials (CPHQ in healthcare quality, CPHRM in risk management, CMQ/OE in organisational excellence) are the reason I build systems that can be measured, audited and improved. I am also a Meta Certified Digital Marketing Specialist, so I understand how a clinic is found and how to speak to patients within the rules.
I am a Dorchester certified 'hospitality meets medicine' trainer.
I have worked in Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and for the past several years in Dubai, caring for patients who expect a level of service most clinics were never designed to deliver.
I have sat across the table from a DHA inspector. I have built consent frameworks, adverse event protocols and staff onboarding systems that regulators have reviewed and approved. I understand the data protection obligations Dubai clinics operate under.
I have managed clinical teams drawn from twelve countries, working in four languages, delivering one consistent standard to patients from six different cultural backgrounds. I know what that consistency requires, and how quickly it slips when nobody has written the standard down.
Why now
Longevity is becoming a regulated category in Dubai.
Dubai has established a dedicated regulator, the Dubai Longevity Authority, under Law No. 17 of 2026, and its permit requirements are still being set. The DHA's new standards for medical advertising on social media have raised the bar on how clinics speak to patients.
For founders, this is the moment to build the clinic properly: governance, team, policies and patient journey designed together before opening day. That is commissioning work. It is what I have spent the last decade doing.
The platform
Why this practice exists.
Most of the clinic frameworks taught internationally were built for other markets, often cash-pay aesthetics practices in suburban US cities. Dubai is a different market. Its patients, its teams and its regulators expect something else.
I have watched clinics here make the same avoidable mistakes. That was not because the people running them lacked intelligence or qualifications. It was because the frameworks they were given were not built for this market. They were building beautiful clinics with fragile systems underneath:
- Revenue leaking through gaps nobody had mapped.
- Consultations that impressed patients without turning into programmes.
- Patients leaving happy and not returning, because no one had designed retention.
- Multinational teams delivering inconsistent experiences, because the standard had never been written down.
All of it was fixable. None of it required more money or better equipment. It required the right frameworks, commissioned into the clinic from the start.
Every framework, checklist and script at The Clinic Standard comes from what I have observed, fixed, built and tested inside operating clinics. None of it is from a textbook or an overseas market report.
The engagement
What working with me looks like.
I work directly with a small number of Dubai clinic founders and leaders each year. There are no junior consultants, no associates and no templated programmes delivered by someone who has never opened a clinic. Whichever service you book, you work with me.
The materials are the same. Every policy and protocol was written by me. Every script was tested by me. Every framework reflects a decision I have made or a problem I have seen, often both.
I am not building a large consulting firm. I am interested in the quality of work that is possible when one person who has commissioned clinics from the ground up works directly with a founder who is ready to build properly.
If that is what you are looking for, start with a conversation.
